Concept

Built around Gimcheon's mascot bear Osam-i, the museum stages a playful fiction: Osam has 'borrowed' treasures from the city museum to furnish a secret hideout. Visitors become accomplices — sneaking past comic security systems, spying on the bears' strategy room, and discovering that every 'stolen treasure' is in fact a real local heritage object, teaching the city's culture through mischief.

Experience Design

Each visitor carries a 꿀봉 (honey wand) — an interactive key crafted, per the in-world recipe, from Gimcheon pine, acacia honey, grape and plum juice, and two star fragments. The wand wakes moonlight to open hidden doors, tags secret file cabinets, coats fruit into glistening tanghulu, and triggers zone after zone: a searchlight 'thief caught in the act' prologue, a fog-screen password gate, a creaky-stairs stealth game where noise wakes a sleeping guard bear, a golden well where gathered stars ignite the main show.

Technology / Medium

Sensor-tagged interactive wands, moving-head and gobo lighting, fog screens, projection mapping, decibel-sensing audio-visual interactions, DID panels, themed signage systems — and an AI video production pipeline for the museum's animated content.

Process

As AI Video Designer, I designed and produced the museum's AI-generated video content series — Osam's moving posters set against Gimcheon landmarks (Jikjisa Temple, Sudosan, Yeonhwaji), the honey wand 'making-of' film composed like a commercial, the fruit-party cabinet animations, tutorial and interaction videos — building a consistent character world across every screen in the hideout.

Outcome

AI video content series produced through 2025 and delivered as part of the Samyeongdaesa Park media art content and system construction project.

Reflection

Gimcheon sharpened a specific craft within my practice: giving a character world its voice through AI-generated moving images — the same architecture of invitation, compressed into the screens a six-year-old stops to watch.
